DV-AVI video format

Do you know DV-AVI? There are two types of DV-AVI files. Type 1 is that the multiplexed Audio-Video is kept in its original multiplexing and saved together into the Video section of the AVI file. In this type, storage space is saved, but Windows applications based on the VfW API do not support it. Type 2 is Like type 1, but audio is also saved as an additional audio stream into the file. It is Supported by VfW applications, at the price of little increased file size.

MJPEG file type

What does MJPEG stand for? MJPEG stands for Motion JPEG Video. MJPEG bitstreams are often wrapped in AVI files where they carry the Four-Character Code (FOURCC) MJPG. MJPEG bitstreams may also be managed or wrapped in other ways. For QuickTime formats, Apple has defined two types of coding: MJPEG-A and MJPEG-B. MJPEG-B no longer retains valid JPEG Interchange Files within it, hence it is not possible to take a frame into a JPEG file without slightly modifying the headers.
