H.264/MPEG-4 AVC is a standard for video compression. The final drafting work on the first version of the standard was completed in May 2003.
H.263 file type
H.263 is a member of the H.26x family of video coding standards designed by ITU. The H.263 standard is used in video and desk top video conferencing; video telephony; surveillance and monitoring; internet video (like YouTube, MySpace, and Google Video); and creating 3GPP files for playback on mobile phones. H.263 supports five resolutions. In addition to QCIF and CIF that were supported by H.261, there are SQCIF, 4CIF, and 16CIF.
